Theres suprisingly little tangible information to go on to make an informed decision on this yet. At least that i've come across. Plenty of hype to go arround though

Im hoping it will be good.
Out of all the games i thought were promising a year ago this seems to be the only one that hasnt failed miserably or is in the process of imploding under the preassure of beurocratic BS.

So, heres hoping

MMO with a story, space flight is a kind of mini game, 100% voiced ... there's promise but let's see. I saw it at GamesCom last year and it looked pretty standard. 'course that was more than one year before release, so.

Im posting this here since its somewhat longwinded to carry on with this discussion in the shout box.

Ive had a quick look at this guild name reservation thing there running and if we wish we can register FS even though one is already there.
Several question put themselfs at this point...

- Do we want to pre-register the guild ? At least 4 people will need to be registered in the guild and having pre-ordered the game for this to have any chance of working and they give a disclaimer that they cant guarantee it will work. Theres also the fact that they reserve the right to pick in what server the guild gets placed at launch.

- Would we want a PvP, PvE or RP setting ?

- Which faction ?

PvP or PvE. I don't mind which. RP servers are infested with bad players in WoW.

WoW is infested with bad players in general m8, i dont think the RP tag on the server makes much diference.
More likely it was the guild shift twords heavy raiding that puts you in regular contact with a large pool of players with delusions of grandeur cos they think there "hardcore".

I think in almost every mmo you get more bad players than good, depending on what you mean by bad players.

Not being much of a PVP player myself I would favour a PVE server since not sure whether the game lends itself to RP well.

Faction, well predictably I prefer Republic but my allegiance is to FS so whatever is decided is fine by me.

I'm not fussed either way. Alliance if I have to choose though. Umbrae Fatalis could always be set up for the Dark Side if we want (if we can have) alts there.
